Our mission

The Hangleton and Knoll Project exists to work in partnerships with residents to access and develop opportunities and resources and to facilitate positive change as identified by the residents of our communities.

Our aims

Assist and support existing community groups and to work with local residents to set up new groups.
Encourage the participation of residents in voluntary activity, education and employment.
Act as a facilitator for external services wishing to provide services to the local community residents.
Promote and support the development of community buildings, parks and open spaces.

What makes our project special

In Hangleton and Knoll, we have built a strong community infrastructure with the support of our project.

Over the years, we have helped establish numerous community groups, many of which continue to thrive and benefit the wider community in various ways.

Our staff are local residents who initially engaged as community activists and volunteers. This deep-rooted connection uniquely positions us to effectively coordinate a wide range of activities, including community development work, youth projects, community learning courses, and IT support, all aimed at enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

We are privileged to enjoy high levels of resident involvement in all our activities.

Innovative and flexible, we are always open to trying new approaches for the benefit of the community.

For 41 years, The Hangleton and Knoll Project has stood as a model of good practice, demonstrating how a community can effectively develop and manage its own resources.
