Community Learning and Health & Wellbeing

Our Community Learning Team works together with residents to provide opportunities to develop skills and gain confidence, increase health and wellbeing and take part in our community activities.

What we do

Our aim is for everyone to gain confidence, learn new skills, meet new people and have fun whilst being active and improving their health and wellbeing.

We offer residents free or low cost workshops, courses and activities, often working in partnership to bring these activities to our residents for free.

"Each class I learnt something new or got challenged with a new concept in a completely safe and accepting environment. I left each class feeling stretched and more supple and can feel the benefits in my core strength and fitness."

Health and wellbeing

We are pleased to be part of the UOK partnership, a network of community services working together to support good mental health and wellbeing in Brighton, Hove and East Sussex. More information on the support they provide can be found on their website.

HKP also offer health and wellbeing sessions to support physical and mental health. Join us for yoga, pilates, qigong, and meditation to experience relaxation techniques, or participate in our singing for wellbeing sessions.

We also provide peer support for diabetes and menopause.
